The festival is organized by the owner of Transmat Recordings dance music record and originator of Techno Music, Derrick May. More than 70 world-renowned acts including artists from Detroit perform on multiple stages for over one million fans. On its 5th year in 2004, here is finally the first official compilation of tracks heard at the celebration, featuring John Beltran, Stacey Pullen, Jeff Mills, DJ Genesis, Los Hermanos dance music record and many more.Movement - the Detroit Electronic Music Festival - opens in downtown Detroit each year on Memorial Day weekend. SIGUR ROS - BA BA TI KI DI DO [IMPORT]

BA BA TI KI DI DO The members of Sigur Ros performed them live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York dance music record and again in Paris. On these occasions the band improvised a 20-minute section of music over a previously recorded backing track using two sheet-fed music boxes, a glockenspiel dance music record and a specially homemade percussive instrument (dubbed bummsett in Icelandic) comprising eight ballet shoes on a rack. The backing tracks incorporated recordings of Merce Cunninghams voice dance music record and the sound of his tap-dancing feet, as well as the sounds of the dancers footfalls, recorded at the Companys studio in Manhattan. The results of the live improvisation (which came to mirror some elements of the choreography) were recorded at the bands studio outside Reykjavik, Iceland in late Nov 2003. The three sections are designed to be played in any order.
