The festival is organized by the owner of Transmat Recordings techno music record and originator of Techno Music, Derrick May. More than 70 world-renowned acts including artists from Detroit perform on multiple stages for over one million fans. On its 5th year in 2004, here is finally the first official compilation of tracks heard at the celebration, featuring John Beltran, Stacey Pullen, Jeff Mills, DJ Genesis, Los Hermanos techno music record and many more.Movement - the Detroit Electronic Music Festival - opens in downtown Detroit each year on Memorial Day weekend. Formed in July 04, they immediately recorded 40 tracks that Stitch had pre-recorded onto his PC. The furious effect of these recordings quickly buzzed through the welsh music scene resulting in the duos debut gig in the Legendary TJs, selling out by word of mouth alone. Realising the potential they had, they mailed product to as many companies they could resulting in a 3 album production techno music record and management deal with Some Bizzare Records.
